Can I legally sell my house without an agent in Australia? +

Yes. You can sell privately in all Australian states as an owner. We recommend the legal paperwork and advice is handled by a conveyancer or property lawyer (just like you would with an agent).

Who tells me how much to sell for? +

You do. Propa doesn't set your price and doesn't estimate your home's value. We give you a guided pricing checklist, prompts to compare against recent local sales (factual sales data, not advice), and a way to test buyer response. The market sets the final price.

Don't I need realestate.com.au? +

Some sellers want to be on it. We don't syndicate to REA because we don't need to. When we sold our own home we generated more than DOUBLE the page views on our Propa listing than our REA listing. If you want to list privately on REA, we'll point you in the right direction.

How does Propa actually find buyers? +

Propa publishes targeted advertising on Meta (Facebook and Instagram), within Meta's housing advertising rules, alongside the Propa swipe feed and an SEO-friendly public listing page that ranks for your suburb. Add a weekly Boost Pack to advertise further. Every week you get a plain-English report on the reach delivered.

Is Propa a real estate agent? +

No. And we don't want to be. Propa is a property marketing platform and advertising publisher. We give you the tools to list and sell your own home, and we promote it, but we don't act as your agent, we don't negotiate, and we never step into the deal. This is about putting money back in the pockets of Australian home owners, not adding another middleman.

Why is Propa free? +

Fair question. We all know nothing in life is really free. Here's the honest version: Propa is a new idea, and a for sale by owner platform is worth nothing without owners listing their homes on it. So right now, listing is free because we want you here. We're not promising it will be free forever, and we'd rather say that up front than surprise you later. For now, list your home, keep your commission, and help us change the way real estate is done in Australia.

Who is Propa not for? +
